Voyage to India - Biotique Bhringraj Oil

One of my fellow Hairnistas recently traveled to India and brought me some amazing goodies. In addition to a beautiful sari, she brought me back some amazing hair goodies! Indian women are known the world over for their gorgeous hair, and when my Hairnista-friend asked what products they recommended the resounding answer was: Bhringraj Oil. This therapeutic oil is revered for hair growth and overall hair and scalp health. This all organic product is a yummy concoction of coconut, bhringraj, and amla oils, and cow and goat milk.

According to www.ayurvedic-medicines.com:

"Bhringraj is one of the distinguished medicinal herbs used in preparation of ayurvedic medicines. It is one of the prominent herbs used as an ayurvedic medicine for treatment of Hair loss, premature greying, ect. It is mainly used as an ayurvedic tonic for hair care. It is a small annual plant found in wet land throughout India. All the parts of the plant are used for medicinal preparations. It is used for the treatment of devitalized hair. Bhringraj is used along with other herbs such as amla, shikakai as a hair rinse and conditioner. It is also used with oils such as coconut oil and sesame oil for the preparation of hair oils for conditioning oil treatment. Bhringraj oil when massaged on to the scalp, gives a calming effect and promotes a good sleep."

I've been using this oil for the last 2 weeks and my hair has an amazing softness. I do a pre-shampoo treatment with it, add it to my DC when I steam, and honestly just whenever I feel like it. This oil is great for all hair types. I tried it on one of my fellow Hairnistas over the weekend who is Latina with wavy/curly hair and she loved it also. My hair has honestly never felt better, and I can say that this is is a product I'll be using for life. Now I'm totally stoked to make my own beauty voyage to India :)
