My steamer finally arrived and I was so excited to use it for the first time this weekend! I've raved about the wonders of steam for your hair and now I have my own personal machine and can do treatments anytime I want (at the salon it usually an extra $15/20 tacked onto your regular service). Thanks to all the positive feedback from my online Hairnistas, I ordered mine from SalonsRus for only $139.99. The steamer was very easy to assemble...all you will need is a wrench to tighten the screw at the bottom. After about 10 minutes of setting up I was ready to go.
The steamer took about 5 minutes to warm up, I added the distilled water, and voila'! I used ORS Replenishing Conditioner, extra virgin organic coconut oil, and argan oil on my freshly shampooed hair. You will not need a plastic cap like you normally do under a hooded dryer. By sitting under the steamer with your hair uncovered, you allow the steam to fully hydrate your hair. When steaming at home be sure to cover your shoulders with a towel and also a roll of cotton to go around your edges to catch the "drippies." The steam was definitely very warm, but not enough to burn...it actually felt like a spa experience. I feel like adding this regular treatment to my regimen will take my haircare experience to the next level. Want to treat your fave Hairnista for the holidays? Treat her to a steamer!

Do you still have/use this steamer. How is the quality; I'm considering purchasing one. Thanks
I LOVED this steamer...until it stopped working after about 10 months. It had a one year warranty but the cost to ship it to the company was almost equal to the purchase price (since it is large and oddly shaped). I tried out a friend's tabletop steamer but all of my hair didn't fit. So I will be purchasing this again and keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't break down again.
